PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Las Palmas and Global Premier Development partnered in creating a 85-unit affordable community available to large families earning between 30% and 60% of the area median income. Located in Barrio Logan, the three-story structure has a stucco exterior with stone accents and is built around a central courtyard. Colorful murals painted by local artists cover many of the walls to tie the building to the area’s rich cultural history. The building was completed in April, 2009.
La Entrada is conveniently located close to public transportation, schools, parks, shopping centers, retail stores, social services and affordable child care programs. It is adjacent to Downtown San Diego, a major employment center for the county, as well as near the San Diego Padres baseball stadium, PETCO Park and the San Diego Zoo. Residents of La Entrada have access to a variety of free on-site services, including after-school programming and computer education.
